Membership
The Northern Virginia Bonsai Society (NVBS) is a Potomac Bonsai Association (PBA) affiliated club and is PBA's largest club in the greater metropolitan region. The club regularly has a turn out of 45+ members at its monthly meetings and is rich and diverse in all backgrounds and skill levels. Our members are our strength. There is so much talent and knowledge within our membership, new and old alike. It seems there is someone who knows the answer to every question. Perhaps the greatest benefit to membership is the regular opportunity to work with others, face-to-face, to learn about bonsai. NVBS is committed to furthering the interest, education, and skill of its members through lectures, demonstrations, and workshops by in-house specialists and bonsai professionals alike. Our members benefit from...

NVBS members are encouraged to submit their trees for display in shows throughout the calendar year. Showcasing your trees will push you to elevate both the design and care of your trees. NVBS has an annual spring and fall show, PBA showcases trees of affiliate clubs at the annual PBA festival at the National Bonsai and Penjing Museum in Washington, DC, and NVBS provides trees to display at the bonsai pavilion at the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia.
